About the Artist
Angie Bauer began creating stained glass
about seventeen years ago and now, as then, works out of her home in Buffalo,
Wyoming. She started out selling her glass at craft fairs and small gift
shops. Now, most of her glass is sold through word of mouth. Through this
success and the encouragement of her family and friends, she began doing stained glass
work in earnest. Now she is branching out onto the internet.
She and Stoney, her husband of twenty seven years, have been
in the ranching business, raising both cattle and sheep. Through ranching, Angie became
well acquainted with the Basque people of the area, as most are also in agriculture
related businesses. Not knowing much of her own ethnicity, she was captivated by the
way the Basque took pride in their heritage, the way their language and customs formed an
unbreakable bond between them, no matter what paths their lives had taken.
It was this, then, that inspired Angie to expand and
experiment with her stained glass designs. She is continuously striving to improve
her established works while adding new designs. Her latest work has been several
pieces introduced at last year's 2002 N.A.B.O. convention in San Francisco, CA. She
also offers custom-made and personalized items. |
